Executive Director - Job Description and Instructions



The Executive Director of the Care Net Pregnancy Centers of Albuquerque is the "Face of Care Net" to the community. They are expected to clearly articulate and present our vision and passion for the sanctity of human life, the provision of free life-affirming services to men and women facing unexpected pregnancy and related issues, and to lead our mission, staff and volunteers with God's grace and compassion.



OVERVIEW

The Executive Director has full responsibility for all of the centers of the Care Net Pregnancy Center of Albuquerque (CNPCA), and the implementation of the Policies and Procedures approved by the Care Net Board of Directors (Board) within the parameters of the budget. This position will successfully direct the operations of the organization, including those related to fiscal responsibility, services, staff management, goals, and plans.

Reports to: Care Net Pregnancy Centers of Albuquerque Board of Directors.

Supervises: All paid and volunteer staff, including the Client Service Director (CSD) and the Director of Development (DD)

Position: Permanent, full-time, “at-will” exempt position. It requires flexible working hours including some evenings/weekends and some travel

Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications



QUALIFICATIONS

  • A committed Christian who has a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and feels strongly called to this ministry.
  • Dedicated to the sanctity of all human life and to the compassionate, grace-filled provision of the life-affirming services and support provided by our staff and volunteers.
  • Agrees with and will uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, and policies of CNPCA.
  • Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years’ experience working with a board of directors, staff management, strategic planning and goal setting, and fiscal management.
  • 3 years of senior management experience preferred in a non-profit environment and demonstrated capacity to administer a fast-paced and complex organization, with direct experience in supervising paid staff in an efficient professional office (including operational, fiscal and human resources management, fundraising, community relations and related program areas).
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred in related field of human services/administration. Business or Non-Profit Management preferred; or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel. As well as some familiarity with QuickBooks. Familiar with other database applications and internet-based resources.
  • Responsible and self-motivated with proven leadership and staff development skills. Effective communication both verbal and written, and sound critical thinking skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, encouragement, and direction for the staff and volunteers, encouraging and empowering them to excel.
  • Proven record of donor relations management and results preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in written and oral communication as well as public speaking.



MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide managerial support, direction, and supervision to all directors, administrative staff and volunteers.
  • Working with the Board, Client Services Director, Medical Director and Director of Deveopment, produce long and short-term objectives to accomplish identified CNCPA goals.
  • Working with the DD, develop, oversee, and revise promotional materials used in presenting CNCPA to clients, churches and the community.
  • Coordinate with the DD on the yearly calendar and implementation of special events.
  • Oversee donor management program working with the DD and the Administrative/Accounting Manager and development of an annual funding/donor plan, new initiatives, strategic plans and goals.
  • Provide oversight on current grants and funding streams, seeking appropriate new grants and avenues that align appropriately with our mission.
  • Coordinate with the Board, Finance Committee and staff on annual budget that is presented to the Board for approval.
  • Oversee and ensure that accurate and current financial records are kept, working with the DD to review expenditures, and ensure the compilation of statistical reports, accurate record keeping, and reporting to the Board monthly.
  • Maintain Policy and Procedure manual for the operation of the CNCPA, and work with the Board and staff to ensure that all policies are carried out.
  • Approve and oversee hiring of all staff and volunteers through the departmental structure.
  • Conduct yearly written and oral evaluations of CNCPA leadership team and ensure that evaluations are conducted for other staff and volunteers.
  • Oversee and supervise the Client Service Director’s activities and programs including volunteer training seminars, in-service training, staff meetings, and verify that policies and procedures are followed.
